The latest weather news from the state and the country.
Governor Mitch Daniels has declared March 2nd through 8th, 2008 as Severe Weather
Preparedness Week in Indiana.
The National Weather Service, along with Amateur Radio, State Police, Spotters,
and many citzens, will particpate in the statewide drill and tests that are to be
held twice on Wednesday, March 4th. The first test will occur at 10:00am and last
to 10:30am and the second will occur between 7:00pm and 7:30pm.
The goal of Severe Weather Preparedness Week is to better educate people about the
hazards of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes, and to help everyone be prepared
for when severe weather threatens Indiana.
