Noaa All-Hazard Radios
EVERYONE should have a Weather Radio.
A Noaa All-Hazards (Weather) Radio is a special radio
that receives broadcasts from the National Weather Service and alerts the user of
weather hazards and other hazards. These radios are equipped to sound an alarm if
a specail warning is issued. They alert for threats from Tornadoes, Severe Storms,
Floods, Hurricanes, Blizzards, Tsunamis, Volcanoes, Hazardous Spills, Civil Dangers,
and much more. SAME (Specific. Area. Message. Encoding) technolgy was developed
around 2000. This technology is setup so that radios will only be set off for an
alert for your area, based on how you have it setup.

These are the weather radios that I recommened highly.
Midland WR-300 (desktop) and the Midland 74-250c(handheld)

These are both very high quality radios that I have owned for along time, and work
very well and are relible. They can be purchased at: http://www.ambientweather.com/
